The last weekend of july the Vintage Festivale 2011 took place at the southbank Centre, a flamboyant and lively celebration with music, cinema, shows, fun fair and market, everything about vintage. People -like me - who struggle everyday with money and couldn't make the whole festival could take comfort in the market, a feast for the sight and not so bad for wallet. Time went fast between the stalls and the shops, among accessories, quirky mid-century objects, toys, magazines, homeware and of course clothes from 40s to 80s, it really blew my mind! You could also find some professional hairdresser and make-up artist that would give you a perfect 50s pin-up style for only 10£..it's a shame the queue was super-long!
People around were an equally exciting show. Women, men and children too, with hairstyle and outfit perfect for it. I wouldn't leave the amazing fair despite the unnatural (to be in London) heat!
